For the last three weeks on shared hosting it’s not been possible to resolve “localhost” – pretty fundamental. They unlinked /etc/hosts from the bind-mount so there is effectively no host file within a user’s account, which causes all kinds of problems with scripts, cron jobs, mysql, etc. Chat operators just keep saying “we apologise” and “it will be fixed soon”. The senior technicians are yet to respond to the support ticket. This would take them 30 seconds to fix. ASO is nothing like the company it used to be. Time to move to a new provider.
