17 Oct Drop Shipping Mistake #5 – SSL Certificates
Blue Host Had my dog appreciation website for at least 4 years, and made a really serious mistake. They changed my account from an automatic renewal to manual and never sent me an E-mail. Then they canceled my account and deleted my website complete with the awards the website had received. And they didn’t keep a backup on file. I’ll choose someone else to host my site. This company is terrible.
I’ll be explaining 7 AliExpress dropshipping mistakes that I made in my first attempt at drop shipping, across 7 daily videos.
SSL certificates are required on your dropshipping website’s server in order for you to recieve credit card payments through your store. Adding SSL certificates to your dropshipping website’s server will incur an additional cost with your web hosting provider which should be considered when planning out your store.
I setup my website through WordPress and WooCommerce on a BlueHost server, and as I said I would have had to pay extra $100-$200 to have an SSL certificate installed on the BlueHost hosting.
Setting a dropshipping website up on a eCommerce platform (such as Shopify) means you don’t have to worry about little logistical issues such as SSL certificates and all your potential hidden costs will be included in the monthly platform fee.
