Git + Bluehost – Part 1: Installing Git On Your Server Using Git Bash [HD]

I do not recommend. I had a very bad experience with #bluehost. Very nice environment and nice support, but if you have a bit more traffic or database activity, they will kick you out as they did it with me. Does not matter if you are “green” in all meters they are presenting you in the control panel. I was forced to migrate my website after get the “get out” message and it took me more than a week to put my website back online.

Part 1 of the series “Git+Bluehost” – where we explain step-by-step the details of working with Git on a Bluehost server. In this video: how to install Git on your Bluehost server using GitBash.

This connected all the dots for me. I have fought with Bluehost for days. These four short videos answered many questions. Thanks for the post. Bluehost documentation on Git is terrible.

I am on Bluehost Cloud sites hosting and it is shared. "yum" doesn't work because it is a shared server. This tutorial was a workaround.
