16 Feb How to add a new domain to your Hostgator Account
The worst company ever – #hostgator; if you trust your webhosting to them you need your head testing. We are a small camera club Wight Balance Photography Plus and we used #hostgator for our webhost, we trusted them with our website and domain name, what a mistake. We had them host our website for four years. The last two have been a nightmare. They would not answer support ticket requests. You are better off talking to your dog than try too communicate via their live chat link. They disabled our website and sold off our domain name to a third party. You would be better off sending smoke signals to communicate to the world than trust #hostgator with your website. The worst company we have ever dealt with. Brian Williams
In this video I show you how to add a domain to your existing Hostgator account. When you registered your account with hostgator you had to choose a plan with a domain. If you are wanting to add another domain other than the one you registered when creating your account, this video will explain how to do that.
If you chose the plan with only one domain, you will have to upgrade your account before you add an “addon” domain. You can use as many subdomains as you like with a one site plan. That is different than an addon domain and is covered in another tutorial.
Go you to your cpanel either by using the address sent to you by hostgator in the original email or you can use www.putyourdomainhere.com/cpanel
