How to Register a Domain Name – HostGator Tutorial

The worst company ever – #hostgator; if you trust your webhosting to them you need your head testing. We are a small camera club Wight Balance Photography Plus and we used #hostgator for our webhost, we trusted them with our website and domain name, what a mistake. We had them host our website for four years. The last two have been a nightmare. They would not answer support ticket requests. You are better off talking to your dog than try too communicate via their live chat link. They disabled our website and sold off our domain name to a third party. You would be better off sending smoke signals to communicate to the world than trust #hostgator with your website. The worst company we have ever dealt with. Brian Williams

So I bought my domain from Hostgator and it's showing up like the ones above the pending in your example, but when I click the link anywhere it still says I need to register the name and then that it's not available, even though I've already paid. Is there something I'm doing wrong? This is my first time trying to get a website. Or does it mean I just have to pick a different name, even though when I first signed up and paid with hostgator it let me pick that name?
