How to Rinseless Car Wash – Wash & Drying – Part 2

Avoid this company at all costs – We been using #Justhost for the last 2 years. suddenly my site got suspended because they claim that we are “utilizing an excessive amount of system resources”. OK, so our traffic is getting bigger which is a normal trend in the online world. So you would expect that they would send an email and tell you have 24 Hours to move your site to a dedicated server. NO, THEY SUSPENDED OUR SITE!!! I IMMEDIATELY opened a ticket and called them over 5 times in the last 24 hours, and this is the answer i keep getting, WE ARE SORRY BUT THE DEPT THAT HANDLE THESE ISSUES CANNOT BE REACHED BY PHONE, AND THE SUPPORT TEAM THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE, DON’T HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH THEM. WOW!!! I have since sent emails , called open a ticket and NOT ONE SINGLE WORK FROM MYSTERIES CAVE OPERATING DEPT. Even when I made it clear we will do whatever it takes to get the site back up even if we had to pay x10 more for a dedicated server, money is not an issue. Can you imagine your site going down, and you can’t do anything about. well that’s #Justhost for you. Never Again!

Using this method with great success, thanks. But what do you recommend for windows?

Using ONR for awhile now, but curious that you did not suggest using a drying aid. I usually give each panel a spray of Reload or Opti-Seal during drying and it’s a quick way to protect from marring and top up your sealant in one step.

Thanks Joe for the interesting and informative video. I'm using two 2-gal Craftsman pump sprayers that I got from Ace Hardware pretty cheaply. In one I put distilled water for my final rinse and in the other I put a 16:1 dilution ratio of Chemical Guys "Rinse Free", very similar to ONR but cheaper. I first do a sheeting rinse on the car with the garden hose and then spray the concentrated Rinse Free on the car and let it dwell for at least 5 min. I then do a pressure rinse of the car with the hose, appropriate nozzle selection, and then do a hand wash with the chenille noodle fiber mitts from a bucket mixed with 1 oz per gallon of Rinse Free in distilled water. I use 8 mitts to wash the whole car without reusing any mitt after it has washed a panel. I do a hose rinse and then do the final rinse with the distilled water. The last step is to dry the car with my small air blower with a final blotting wipe with a waffle weave drying towel. Total washing and drying time is about 1 1/2 hours.

Using this method, I've been able to get the car completely clean and streak-free with no swirls or micro-scratches on the beautiful Opti-Coat Pro + coating you put on the car.

Thanks I learned some new things.

Actually I have a question that brought me to this video that I couldn’t find an answer to anywhere.

Would please you consider doing a video on the Model 3 specifics, like how to clean and finish the door windows? I find those difficult because moisture runs benhind them and when you open the door the glass rolls down, then back up when you close it, leaving marks.

How to best handle these door/glass rims, as well as other Model 3 challenging parts, like the B Pilar rubbers.

I like that ONR doesn’t leave anything on the panel so I can use the sealant etc. of my choice as a drying aid and nothing will affect the bonding of that.

How does this work with bug splats and fly shit? That is my biggest problem. I really have to scrub to remove that stuff.

Love this video as I just took delivery on a Model 3. I am thinking about getting some type of coating applied but I don't want to drive to Fremont. Can you recommend a detailer in the Los Angeles area? Thanks, Craig

Can you put swirl marks if you wash in straight line? If you had to recommend what is the best professional grade ceramic coating on the market?

Your rinseless wash method waste a lot of product. I have developed a way to wash about 600 for $20.00. WOW! Interested?

Are the microfiber wash mitts a one time use? Meaning, after each car wash I need to wash the mitts or can I rinse the mitt in the rinse-less solution, let it dry and use again for another wash? Without having to throw it in the washer.
