Massive HostGator Fail – Where Do We Go From Here

Worst Customer Service and Support of Any Company… EVER! – Everything at #hostgator is so broken. I had issues from the moment I signed up. I tried submitting tickets, but the ticketing system didn’t work. I tried live chat, it took an hour to reach someone. I tried calling them, and never did get through as I eventually gave up. Once I finally reached someone, they opened a ticket for me. A week goes by… no response. I follow-up… Still no response. So I ask to cancel my account as I still haven’t been able to use my hosting account. They send me a form to fill out… Guess what, it’s broken too. They basically said that it was my problem because they couldn’t replicate it. It’s not my job to troubleshoot, QA, and identify bugs with their website and system. Still have yet to receive my refund – and I stupidly prepaid for 36 months of hosting. Roy Hardman

Blog series link Today, HostGator suffered what is likely to be its worst system failure to date. Not exactly known for its attention to customer service, HostGator could be in serious trouble after social media sites went ablaze with angry tirades by entrepreneurs frustrated by the company’s constant problems.

Who are you planning to leave HostGator for? Tomorrow, I’ll be migrating to WP Engine. Be sure to list your alternative in the comments section to help your fellow online entrepreneurs!

Yeah ever since HostGator was purchased by EGI their service has really went downhill since they were bought out.  I have been telling people to go somewhere else for years.  I finally got fed up with them about 1 1/2 years ago.  There customer support has went downhill quickly.   They used to have US based customer support, but not anymore.  It's quite sad.

I must of been one of they lucky ones when this fail took place, I didn’t have one site go off line.  I've had a hostgator reseller account for going on  4years. With over 30 websites on hostgator servers alone, others using cheapdomain, bluehost one even still uses go-daddy the real crooks of the hosting world.  None of my hostgator sites when off line.

I am however currently having a bad experience them they have had me waiting 96 hours for them to upgrade my resellers account to the gold package. This is first real problem I've ever had, and support seems to be doing a great job keeping me updated while trying to resolve this issue.   Compared to other hosting service providers I've dealt with hostgators support team is far better then most!

Teach host gator a lesson I found that pretty amusing  5 comments including my own a two of them are happy with hostgator services I don't see your business and or review affecting their bottom line anytime soon!  Just had to add that as I thought It fairly important..

Hostgator is terrible, I've been getting continually hacked – they offer no protection just tell you to hire another company to fix things – these are not simple WP hacks but Cpanel hacks. Hacking your entire WHM
