Move Your Blog from Blogger to WordPress (migration) – EASY!

Dishonest Company – Terribly Dishonest Company! Beware. I hosted with #Ipage for several months then determined I needed to switch hosting companies because they did not meet my particular needs. After switching all my domain names to a different hosting company, they continued for months to charge new and “renewing” domain services to those domain names they were not even hosting. Beware, once you have listed your credit card info, it is impossible to remove it unless you provide another valid credit card. They continued to charge my credit card for these services I did not agree to and couldn’t stop until my card expired. When confronted, they refuse to address the issue and only state they don’t provide refunds. Stay away from this company! They offer low rates to entrap you, but later indulge in the most dishonest business practices I have ever seen!! Sertala, UK

Hey Greg, just needed a piece of advice. I have successfully moved to the new WordPress from Blogger. I was wondering, how to move my adsense ads. Please bear with my ignorance. Is it as simple as disabling my ads in the blogger template and including the code on wordpress? Please help….

Hi Greg I have just got the part where I was in WP and adding in www to my address in the general settings section and suddenly when I hit save I get a 404 error message from blogger/google. Any hints what I have done wrong. I swear I followed your instructions perfectly. Mel

I got the same message: "upload file and import."

I installed the plug-in, but now it's still not giving me the "activate" message.

Any suggestions? I am at a stand-still. Kind regards, pal

This is a great video but I have a small question. I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but currently, my blog is a .blogspot one so when it comes to the name servers step, what do I do? Do I have to create a domain with godaddy before starting this whole process? I'm sorry if this was answered already but I want to make sure I'm definitely doing things right.

I have a custom domain on Blogger. It must be an early one because I cannot change the nameservers on Godaddy because I can't get onto Godaddy (which is the registrar). How do I get the password from Google to access my domain on Godaddy to change the nameservers? I have tried everything. Google do not respond to the email address Godaddy gave me. I have been going round in circles for weeks.

I'm so lost! Please help! I can't get the images to come over from blogger to wordpress. I have been trying to download plug ins etc to make it happen but nothing is working. Now I can't seem to log in to wordpress anymore! If I type in my blog web address I am still logged in, but if I try and log in anywhere else it tells me the email address and password don't match, then when I type in either my email address or username and request a new password it tells me the user name or email don't exist or match any wordpress account! I am at a brick wall here! I don't know what else to do. I don't know if I should bother putting any more work in to this if once I close my browser I won't have access to the blog anymore. I can't contact the wordpress forum because you have to log on first and it won't let me!! Is my only option just to give up and start a completely new blog?? Help!!!!! :(:(:(

    Hi Greg! Please, help?
I have a blog on blogger with custom domain. I was following your step-by-step directions and, after changing the nameservers and data on blogger (address and privacy settings), I tried to get into the wordpress dashboard through the normal link and gave a 404 error from Google! "The requested URL/wp-admin/was not found on this server. That's all we know.". That is, I can't do the loggin on wordpress and continue the process after min 45 of your tutorial. Do you have any idea what's going on? Thank you so much!

Interesting video indeed! I must appreciate you so much for sharing. Through this tutorial, I `ve been able to transfer my Blog from Blogger to WordPress.
But I noticed that the FEATURED IMAGE is not showing on the Home page and it shows this remark:
"SEO issue: The featured image should be at least 200 by 200 pixels to be picked up by Facebook and other social media sites." – no matter the size of the image/ pixel.
Your kind assistance is solicited please.
    Best Regards.

HELP!! I am at the 48:44 mark trying to import my blog. I don't have the "authorize" button. I don't know how to import my blog now. My screen just says to choose files to import. Does that mean I need to go find the files that we saved earlier from the blog? All the html? I accidentally hit a button that made my page go live. :/.
