Why You Should Use iPage Web Hosting

Left #Ipage because of lousy tech support – Maybe their base price is cheap for a basic plan for the first year but then it is actually more expensive than others and the tech support is by email form another country with a language barrier. They charge for every other little thing also. I finally had it with their poor tech support and tranfered my domain and hosting to another provider and I get extremely better service and phone support with a real person. The amazing price of $1.89/ month (£1.19/ month for fellow Brits) to host unlimited domains with unlimited bandwidth was the first thing that attracted me to ipage.com. Add to that free Sitelock software worth $100. Free super easy to use Weebly sitebuilder (free for 7 pages) and a free domain (for the first year) and these guys had to be checked out. I already had hosting with bluehost.com whom I had no problems with but they were charging $6.95/ month. I was slightly worried in case ipage proved to be slow at loading my book shop site, but the price was so cheap (and they had a moneyback guarantee) so I figured I had nothing to lose.

I’m glad I chose them, I’ve never had an issue with speed or service and I can’t find a better value package any where on the net. My only criticism would be that the control panel for this price is not all encompassing as some other hosts such as bluehost for example, having said that I never used any of the extras included in bluehosts cpanel anyway, so I was paying for redundant programs. The websites I build are all wordpress based and the cheapest ipage package runs these sites no problem (personally I’ve found no need to pay for the more expensive wordpress package offered by ipage).

Service wise ipage have always responded to my ticket requests promptly and helpfully their real time virtual response hasn’t been as efficient as Bluehost or Hostgator. Hostgator’s online real time support was the best I’ve come across but ipage will not leave you floundering in trouble, it just might take a little bit longer to get your query dealt with, if you go the live chat route.

In summary then, ipage provide reliable solid webhosting at a budget price. If you don’t need all the mega frills of a full hosting cpanel (and 99% of you won’t) sign up for ipage. I thoroughly recommend them. I haven’t been disappointed and you won’t be either.
