WP Engine vs. Hostgator for WordPress Hosting

They love to change billing dates – Terrible organization: They keep rebilling, forget cancellations, and shut down hosting packages without reasons. When you complain, they let you wait 3 days with an offline website. Alan Murray, England

Here are some recommendations for self-hosting your WordPress website.

I suggest either Hostgator, which is a cheaper but has everything you need to get started, plus excellent customer service. The other option is WP Engine which although is more expensive is geared specifically for WordPress and has some excellent WordPress related features that other hosts don’t provide such as daily automatic backups and they take care of all the caching for you so you don’t need a plugin for that.
